Chinese New Year w/b: 16.1.17

Date: 20th Jan 2017 @ 1:18pm

Hello Reception Class smiley

On Saturday 28th January, it is the celebration of the Chinese New Year.

Hairy Harry was very confused when I told him this and he asked if you could help him...

Can you share with Hairy Harry anyting you already know (or have found out) about China or the Chinese New Year?

Hopefully, with your help, he'll feel less confused and more excited about learning around this topic next week!

Thank you Reception heart

The people in China don't speak English like we do. Each year is named after an animal. I am a rabbit. Red is a lucky colour in China and number 8 is a lucky number. I live at number 8 so that is lucky. People dress as a dragon and dance to special music. It is very colourful.
