Computing

At Robins Lane, our Computing Curriculum is taught both explicitly and discretely across the school. Children have an afternoon session to focus solely on the Computing Key Skills and developing their awareness and understanding of the four strands of the Curriculum; E-Safety, Handling Data, Programming, Multimedia and Technology in our lives.

Classes have access to Ipads and the Computer suite for morning sessions that link to cross-curricular learning. Children will use Technology to support their learning in Core subjects such as English, Maths and Science.

Robins Lane has worked alongside the St Helens Netwoork schools to create a Long Term Computing Plan that reflects the National Curriculum.

Each class has a set curriculum which can support both ICT skills development and cross-curricular learning.

Some of Robin's Lane online learning platforms include; Purplemash, Mathletics and Reading Eggs.
